The last day of rest before many people start their daily grind once again. Speaking of the grind, how about we talk about Sunday coffee. Sometimes we need to sit and relax and actually look forward to the upcoming week no matter what challenges it brings. If you have been reading some of the posts under “Get Lost” we mention how to relax and get back some peace of mind.
Now I know you are thinking coffee is a stimulant that I use to get my day started. This is true and it can help with mental fatigue. On Sunday though we want you to relax. We want you to enjoy any cup of coffee you can get your hands on. Enjoying a nice hot cup of coffee can provide a moment of respite from everything the world wants to throw at you. This mental pause can help us refocus and put us on a path of clarity. Our walks outside during lunch taking in fresh air and getting a little exercise differs from the Sunday coffee which is less about the physical and more about the mental.
This week I am enjoying some Angler’s Coffee. I met these guys in Lancaster last year at the Lancaster Fly Fishing Show. I bought bag of Muddler’s Blend and loved it. Today I am enjoying some “Dry/Dropper” single serve pouch. I did cut it open and pour it in a French press (Sorry guys!). I wanted to try it that way and it didn’t disappoint. These folks know coffee. Joe Monaghan the founder has more coffee experience than most coffee companies out there. If you want to know more about him grab a cup and listen to Dad’s on the Fly podcast episode #80. Until next week, relax and enjoy your Sunday coffee.
