Holiday Dinner Part 1 “Side Dish – Brussels Sprouts

December 9, 2023

The Holidays are approaching and there is nothing better than a good meal and great conversation. Over the next three weeks I am going to drop some of my favorite recipes leading up to the big meal. The recipes will progressively get harder, but it will be worth it in the end.

“Roasted Brussels Sprouts”

Ingredients:

1 pounds of Brussels Sprouts

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Sea Salt and freshly ground pepper

Red pepper flakes

There are going to be 2 different options on how to cook these. Pick which one you are more comfortable with or try both ways.

Directions:

Preheat over to 425 degrees.

Wash the Brussels sprout and cut off the stem side.

Cut each one in half.

Put them in a large bowl. Season with olive oil, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes.

Place Brussels spouts on a large cooking sheet with parchment paper.

Roast until golden brown (About 20-30 min) This will all depend of course on the size of the sprouts.

Serve and Enjoy!

Same Directions as above except use a cast iron flying pan to cook the sprouts.

Put a small amount of oil in the pan. (Pan should be on medium heat)

Cook Brussels sprouts until golden brown and soft in the middle.

Make sure to move the sprouts around every few minutes so they don’t burn.

Serve hot and enjoy!
