One of the biggest holidays of the year is right around the corner and I decided with some free time to sit by my fire pit and enjoy a cup of coffee. As I was sitting there staring at the flames I thought about my cup of coffee. Normally the brands that I select are a bit more expensive than the one I drank today. I enjoyed a cup of Chock Full o’Nuts Dark and Bold Roast. Sitting there it reminded me of something my Mom said to me years ago. I told here that I was a bit of a coffee snob and that I don’t drink cheap coffee. She said that no one in our family drank more coffee than her father. He easily was a pot a day drinker and had coffee at almost every meal. That is what he drank and if it was good enough for him that it was good enough for me. I remember going out to the store and getting some. I remember getting a look from the cashier that said, “Are you really going to drink that?” I remember trying it for the first time and I loved it. It was simple, they way coffee should be.

    So sit this week in front of a fire pit or a Solo Stove Ranger ( which are pretty cool ) and enjoy a good cup of coffee. Remember that the generation before us had it a lot harder that we do today. They didn’t have all the fancy things that we had, but life was a lot simpler then. Enjoy the simple life and take some good advice from Mom if you get the chance.
