Ingredients:
1–1.5 lbs ground wild turkey (or finely chopped breast/thigh)
1 can kidney beans (drained)
1 can black beans (drained)
1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: chopped jalapeño, corn, or bell pepper
Instructions:
1. In a Dutch oven or deep pot, cook turkey and onion over medium heat until browned.
2. Add garlic and spices; cook another minute.
3. Stir in beans, tomatoes, and any extras.
4. Simmer for 30–45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Serve with cornbread or tortilla chips.
Camp tip: Pre-chop everything and seal in baggies for quick campsite cooking.
