Some places are beautiful in pictures. Others make you stop, look around, and simply say, wow.
Our time in the Grand Tetons was filled with those moments—standing beneath the mountains, riding the tram to take in the view from above, exploring Wyoming with the whole family, searching three different times before finally finding a moose, and fly fishing Flat Creek in the National Elk Refuge with my son.
And then there were the moments when we couldn’t see the mountains at all. Smoke from the Canadian wildfires settled in and covered much of the view. But the mountains hadn’t moved. They were still there, we just couldn’t see them.
Sometimes faith feels that way too.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
This week’s Sunday Coffee is about the beauty we see, the beauty we sometimes miss, family, waiting, faith, and learning to slow down long enough to appreciate what’s right in front of us.
So grab a cup of coffee, take a breath, and come with me back to the Grand Tetons.
