Welcome, Welcome! We all have a starting point. Sometimes though we need to get back to basics in our faith to learn to see the big picture again and reignite our soul. So we created a simple Bible Study for everyone and anyone.
A beginner’s journey through the Gospel of John
How to use this study:
Find a quiet place. Grab a coffee. Open your Bible. Read the chapter slowly, then spend a few minutes thinking about the two questions provided. You don’t need to have all the answers. The goal isn’t to become an expert in the Bible—it’s to begin getting to know Jesus. Maybe choose a friend or small group to go through this with you and compare notes each day or at the end of the week. During this journey you will notice 2 podcast here on our website. You can click the link for each one and just listen. Grab a cup of coffee, and your pen and notebook and listen. There is a lot of good stuff, and it will help you as you explore your faith.
Day 1 — John 1: Who Is Jesus?
Read: John 1
John introduces Jesus as the Word who was with God and was God. Before we learn what Jesus did, we begin with who He is.
Questions:
- What stands out to you about how John describes Jesus?
- If Jesus really is who John says He is, how might that change the way you look at your own life?
Day 2 — John 2: Jesus Shows Up in Ordinary Life
Read: John 2
Jesus performs His first recorded miracle at a wedding. It’s a reminder that Jesus isn’t only interested in the “big” spiritual moments of our lives. He meets people right in the middle of ordinary life.
Questions:
- What does this story teach you about the kind of person Jesus is?
- Where in your ordinary life do you need Jesus right now?
Day 3 — John 3: Starting Over
Read: John 3
Jesus tells Nicodemus that we must be “born again.” Following Christ isn’t simply becoming a better version of yourself. It’s about beginning a new life with God.
Questions:
- What do you think Jesus means by being “born again”?
- What would it look like for you to begin trusting Jesus with your life?
Day 4 — John 4: Jesus Meets You Where You Are
Read: John 4
Jesus meets a Samaritan woman at a well. She comes carrying a complicated story, yet Jesus doesn’t avoid her. He engages her, knows her, and offers her something deeper.
Questions:
- What does this encounter tell you about how Jesus treats people who feel broken or unworthy?
- Is there something in your own story that you have been afraid to bring to God?

A reminder that following Jesus doesn’t mean pretending we’re never afraid or struggling.
Day 5 — John 6: What Are You Really Looking For?
Read: John 6
Jesus feeds thousands of people, but then points them toward something greater than physical food: Himself.
Questions:
- What are some things you look to for happiness, security, or fulfillment?
- What do you think Jesus means when He calls Himself the “bread of life”?
Day 6 — John 15: Stay Connected
Read: John 15
Jesus uses the picture of a vine and branches. A branch can’t produce fruit by itself. It has to remain connected to the vine.
Questions:
- What do you think it means to “remain” in Jesus?
- What is one simple thing you could begin doing each day to stay connected to Him?

Day 7 — John 20: Now What?
Read: John 20
Jesus has been crucified. His followers believe everything is over. Then Mary discovers the empty tomb.
Jesus is alive.
This is the center of Christianity—and the beginning of a new life for everyone who chooses to follow Him.
Questions:
- What does the resurrection of Jesus mean to you?
- If you decided today that you wanted to follow Jesus, what would be one next step you could take?
You Don’t Have to Have It All Figured Out
Following Jesus isn’t about having perfect faith, knowing every Bible verse, or suddenly having all the answers.
It’s about taking the next step.
Maybe that next step is reading another chapter of John. Maybe it’s talking to God for the first time. Maybe it’s finding a church or a group of people who can walk alongside you.
Or maybe tomorrow morning you simply grab your coffee, step outside, and say:
“Jesus, I’m here. Show me what it means to follow You.”
